UK suffers in worst weather for 18 years!

The snow over the past few days has caused huge disruption to travel, as the UK infrastructure just isn’t set up to deal with it. This has caused problems for both employers and employees as plans have to be changed at the last minute. Having to look after children suddenly when their school closes, or being unable to get to work due to a lack of public transport, aren’t things you have control over.

Thankfully most companies will be flexible as the weather conditions couldn’t have been predicted, but it could leave many people in a difficult situation. I know this has been the worst snow for 18 years, so there really isn’t any reason to place blame where everything ground to a halt. However, I will be interested to see what plans are put in place to prevent this sort of problem occurring again.
