The widespread use of mobile phones is leading to a new phobia – Nomophobia – a fear of being out of mobile phone contact. This is particularly affecting medical students who can’t keep their phones on them during a shift. Loss of network could lead to severe stress and tension, not good for anyone, and high usage of cellular phones could have other side affects still being investigated.
