Generally the level of technology we can all take for granted at home is blamed for causing problems in the family. However, new research now suggests that this technology is actually bringing families closer together. Distant family members can keep in touch easily via phone and social networking, and using the internet for homework can be a good bonding experience for parents and children.
I have to admit to using social networking and instant messaging to keep in touch with my friends and family, I also find I rarely have time to make phone calls unless on the move, and then the mobile is invaluable. So I wasn’t really very surprised at the findings of this research, as it’s what i’ve found personally.
